Things are getting hot! Temps, humidity levels are rising– sadly, so are boiling political tensions, crime and waves of hotheads determined to destroy civilization. But thankfully, climate change is actually not at absolute crisispoint (weather is being weather) and people are thriving despite taking relentless heat of life’s brutal scorch. At least, many of us are not letting ourselves hot and bothered– but taking it easy and keeping our cool. We have to- else surrender to hellish insanity.

Well, I’ve been half watching the O games, mainly through Roku and net clips. Unfortunately, this Covid plague, puke inducing political theater and pomposity have dampened my Olympic spirit. I miss the days of the Olympics being appointment primetime television. That being said, I’m not a complete bitter Betty and will root for underdog stories and appreciate good patriotic displays and pageantry (from the U.S.A and other countries). With other pressing substance-filled things on my plate, I will tune out a bit drown out negativity (bad sportsmanship and the like). Sorry, Tokyo. You deserved a better time to throw a world sport meet. Maybe you can get a do-over O games 12 or 16 years from now). We’ll see.
